📣 Attention All SorSU Sorsogon Campus Students!

Are you ready to make a positive impact on our school community? It’s that time of the year again – the Supreme Student Council Elections are just around the corner!


The Student Council plays a vital role in representing the student body, voicing your concerns, and working towards creating an engaging and vibrant school environment. This is your chance to step up, be a leader, and bring about positive changes that will benefit everyone.

Positions Available:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Auditor
Public Relations Officer
(2) Business Manager

Qualifications: (Based on SorSU-CSC CBL Article 9, Sections 2-4 s,2019)

Sec. 2. No student shall be elected President and Vice President unless:
a. He is a person of good moral character, integrity, and probity;
b. He possesses good leadership qualities;
c. He is a regular student at Sorsogon State University;
d. He has no failing grades in any subjects he took during the previous school
year or two semesters; and
e. He does not hold any executive position title in any other organization.

Sec.3. The Secretary, and Treasurer shall be elected with the following qualifications:
a. He is a person of good moral character, integrity, and probity;
b. He possesses good leadership qualities,
c. He is a student in the Sorsogon State University;
d. He does not hold any executive position title in any other organization; and
e. He is an incoming 2nd year or 3rd year student in the Sorsogon State
University, not yet a candidate for graduation.

Sec.4. The Auditor, P.I.O, and Business Managers (2) shall be elected with the following
qualifications:

a. He is a person of good moral character, integrity, and probity;
b. He possesses good leadership qualities; and
c. He is a student at Sorsogon State University.


How to Participate:

  1. Nominate yourself for a position by submitting your Certificate of Candidacy, name and the position you’re running for to the Student Affairs Office on or before September 1, 2023.
  2. Campaign. Prepare your campaign materials, Online “Pubmats” and the ideas to share with your fellow students. Let them know why you’re the best candidate for the position! From September 4-6, 2023.
  3. Election Day: Come to the designated location on September 7, 2023 to cast your vote for the candidates you believe will represent your interests best.
