After almost five months that consisted of the planning, field survey, data analysis and interpretation, organizing results, and write up, the final output of the joint PNP, SSC and PIA community survey project was finally presented on March 15,. 2016 at Camp Salvador H. Escudero Sr., Sorsogon City.

Before the representatives of various public and religious sectors, city and municipal police chiefs, SSC President Dr. Modesto D. Detera turned over a copy of the completed manuscript of the research to PSSupt. Ronaldo R. Cabrai, acting provincial director of PNP Sorsogon Province. The latter gratefully expressed that this is the culmination of a dream that he once longed for his office to have — an assessment of public opinion/reaction that can be used to improve the image and performance of the PNP in this province.

This was realized when Philippine Information Agency manager Ms.Benilda A. Recibido offered to facilitate this endeavor, and the SSC assisted with its research and technical capability through the office of director Dr. Ryan V. Dio. Truly the universe conspired in this collective effort, PSSupt. Cabral exclaimed.

During the actual presentation, Dr. Dio, Prof. Marigrace D. Carretero and Mr. Michael John A. Jamora – all from the education department of Sorsogon City Campus – explained the details of the inquiry. They also expressed the willingness of the College to support any similar enterprise in the future that will benefit Sorsogon and the public.

Part of the PNP’s “The Public Spectacle: A Peek of  Your Pulis Kassangayahan” project, this survey aims to enhance is capability,  effectiveness and credibility of the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (Pulis Kasanggayahan). It has been signed into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with SSC and Philippine Information Agency – Sorsogon last November 13, 2015.
