DOST awards 15M fund to SSC CPCF Project

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) granted Sorsogon State College the P15,000,000.00 fund for its approved project entitled “Crab Processing and Canning Facility” (CPCF) during the DOST

Project Fund Turnover last November 16, 2018 at the DOST V Conference Room, Rawis, Legazpi City.

To be implemented in SSCMagallanes Campus, the project aims „to infuse appropriate and value adding technologies to maximize economic gain from available marine resource in the province of Sorsogon vis-à-vis develop productive and globally competitive products‟. Thus, the 15M fund awarded by DOST will be instrumental in the realization of the project’s general and specific aims.  

Representing the institution in the turnover of fund for the CPCF was SSC President Helen R. Lara, who in her developmental goals as new President, values the importance and significance of research, extension and production towards the success of the institution and the community.

In behalf of the institution, Dr. Helen R. Lara in her acceptance message expresses her sincere gratitude to DOST for its support to SSC and to the other SUCs in the region.
