BTVTED and BSA: Parents & Students’ Pre-Placement Orientation 2022

 The Parents & Students’ Pre-Placement Orientation 2022, a Supervised Industry Training/Internship was held last August 9, 2022 at the Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon City Campus. The 4th year students are taking up Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) composed of Food Service Management, Automotive Technology and Electrical Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA).

         The Internship program is a collaborative effort between Sorsogon State University (SorSU), various institutions composed of government agencies and business entities, and the parents and students of the university. It aims to provide the students with the needed work experience and allow them to test leadership skills and learned theories into actual practice.

 The event opened with a message from Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto, SorSU Campus Administrator while the orientation proper and OJT policies and regulations were discussed by Prof. Lelanie L. Berjuega (Head, Career and Job Placement) and Prof. Dulce Corazon F. Lacson (OJT Coordinator), respectively. Prof. Roman Julio Infante, Program Chair in Accountancy, delivered the closing remarks.

The orientation was attended by a total of 151 participants with 59 students and 38 parents from the BTVTED and 34 students with 30 parents from BSA.
