The Okinawa-Shorin-Ryu Clan – Sorsogon State University (OSC-SSU) Chapter, together with other delegates from the province of Sorsogon joined various individual and team events in the recently concluded 2nd Presidential Cup – The Mario Villanueva Inter-school / Inter-Club Open Invitational Karatedo Tournament in Naga College Foundation, Naga City, Camarines Sur last November 6, 2022.
The SorSU delegates who won the tournament are:
1. Marissa N. Egbalic – Gold Medal (Team Kata – Advance Category) and Gold Medal (Kumite – Fin Weight)
2. Ma. Georgette M. Jamolin – Gold Medal (Team Kata – Advance Category)
3. Henry D. Banez, Jr. – Silver Medal (Team Kata – Advance Category) and Bronze Medal (Individual Kata – Advanced Category)
4. Jick L. Jualo – Silver Medal (Kumite – Feather Weight)
5. Vince Gabriel E. Palmares – Bronze Medal (Kumite – Open Weight)
The delegates were accompanied and trained by the coaching staff: Mr. Jose E. Credo (Head, OSC Provincial Director), LD Marco B. Pancho, LD Jerome Lagamayo, and LD Marco Gomez (Coach/Trainers, OSC-SSU Chapter), and Mr. Alvin Z. Grulla (Adviser, OSC-SSU Chapter).
