A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) ceremonial signing between Sorsogon State University (SorSU) and Sorsogon National High School took place today, May 04, 2023, at SorSU Board Room, Sorsogon City Campus.
The MOA signifies a shared partnership and collaboration through one of the projects along ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ – ๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐ (Teacher Education Community-Based Activities for Research and Extension Services), on the utilization of the instructional material called โ๐๐๐ข๐-๐๐๐จ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ 7 ๐ฝ๐๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ฎโ, which aims to provide various innovations in teaching and learning, and conduct capacity building in innovative teaching, both particularly, in Science Education.
In reference, the game-based instructional material was an output of the research, entitled: โ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ข๐-๐๐๐จ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ 7-๐ฝ๐๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ฎโ conducted by Mr. Nestor L. Lasala, Jr. (Lead Developer and CoTEd faculty member). Among the developers in the production of game-based activities are Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (VP for Academic Affairs) and Mr. Jonel B. Prado (College of Information and Communication Technology faculty member – Bulan Campus) as well.
Moreover, the output is anchored on the vision and mission of the College of Teacher Education (CoTEd) and in line with the Collegeโs educational objectives, among which are the establishment of an authentic learning environment that caters to a dynamic curriculum for all types of learners as well as the creation of standard, updated, innovative, and alternative instructional techniques, teaching methods, approaches, and learning strategies.
SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus represented Sorsogon State University, while Dr. Michael M. Uy (SNHS – OIC, School Head) represented Sorsogon National High School. SorSU top executives Dr. Ryan V. Dio (VP for Research, Extension & Training), as well as Dr. Alfonso L. Garcia (Dean, CoTEd) with Prof. Jackielyne M. Bosquillos (BEED/BSNEd – Program Chairman) and Ms. Susan Mae G. Apostol (Program Chairman) also attended the ceremony.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus).
