PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Welcome to the Sorsogon State University – Ang Pamantasang May Puso of the Land of Kasanggayahan! With its humble beginnings as a trade school in our province more than 117 years ago, the university continuously expands and enhances its curricular offerings, research and extension capabilities, community outreach and production programs, and technical consultation services to serve our local community stakeholders as well as to address the current developments and trends at the national and global levels.
Here at SorSU, we emphasize the holistic development of our learners to better serve their communities and our entire nation. We do this by continually upgrading our faculty and staff competencies, streamlining major infrastructure and facilities along global standards, and adopting modern pedagogical and research approaches to ensure that our graduates will be at par with those from other academic institutions. And in delivering quality education and services to our students and clients, we always do our best to live up to the university’s standard of an equitable and compassionate, people-centered institution.
