Cong. Dette Escudero, DOLE hold Government Internship Program (GIP) Completion Ceremony — 11 deployed GIP interns in SorSU complete the program

Led and sponsored by Hon. Marie Bernadette “Dette” G. Escudero (1st District Representative, Sorsogon Province), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), spearheaded the Government Internship Program (GIP) Completion Ceremony to GIP interns/beneficiaries across Sorsogon Province, held at SorSU University Library, Sorsogon City Campus, last January 12, 2024.

Along with other interns/beneficiaries assigned to various government agencies across the province, a total of thirteen (13) deployed GIP interns (8 – Sorsogon City Campus, 3 – Magallanes Campus, & 2 – Castilla Campus) in Sorsogon State University (SorSU) graduated and completed the program. During the event, they received their stipend and Certificate of Completion from DOLE, which can be used as proof of work experience.

SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, also graced the completion ceremony and delivered a message for the GIP beneficiaries. One of DOLE’s employment programs, the GIP is intended to equip the youth with broader training and opportunities, providing them with avenues to demonstrate their skills and talents in the public service sector (DOLE, 2024). Such meaningful opportunities can help young workers who aspire to pursue a career or join the workforce in government service. (SorSU PIO)
