SORSOGON STATE UNIVERSITY

CASTILLA CAMPUS

Castilla Campus underwent a series of titles from being Castilla Agricultural High School by virtue of the RA No. 6565 in 1972 to being Sorsogon National Agricultural School (SNAS) in 1974. Barely two years of the SNAS, Republic Act No. 7666 was enacted converting the Sorsogon College of Arts and Trade then (SCAT) in the Municipality of Sorsogon, province of Sorsogon into a State College integrated in the vocational schools of Magallanes, Bulan and, the SNAS in Castilla and as a campus of Sorsogon State College, it was now called SSC-School of Agriculture and Agriculture Based Technology, and at present, the SorSU Castilla Campus.

The school site is located at Mayon, Castilla, Sorsogon which is an ideal agricultural site due to its topography, suitable for agricultural projects, accessibility and possibility for further expansion.  As a campus centered on Agricultural Sciences the campus highly offers courses such as Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) with majors in Agricultural Education, Animal Science, and Crop Science.
