SorSU College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM) receives medical and surgical equipment

Adopting a generative leadership mentality, SUC III President Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus embraces transformation program that would benefit everyone in the academe. Part of the transformation program is offering a midwifery course and a nursing course that will be offered in the near future.

The Pamantasang May Puso ensures that students learn from the absolute best, with the best educational opportunities and the best equipment for hands-on experience.

As part of the institution’s initiative to improve the students’ competencies and competitiveness, The College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM) received on March 11, 2024 various state of the art equipment to be used for the training of the midwifery students and the nursing students in the future.

The medical and surgical equipment that were delivered include Lucy Maternal and Neonatal Birthing Simulator, KERI Complete Nursing Skills Manikin, Teri Androgynous Geriatic Patient Skills Trainer, Minor and Major OR Set, Cardiac Monitor, 2 units Basic Orthopedic Instrument Set, Adult Basic Life Support Model, Life/Form Episiotomy & Perineal Laceration Training Kit, 5 pcs Medicine Cabinets, Storage for Medicine and Supplies, 5 pcs Heavy Duty Transport Stretcher, 5 pcs Wheelchairs, 10 pcs Dual Teaching Stethoscope for return demonstration, 10 units Patient Beds, Training Models for injection, IV Insertion and Suturing of Lacerations, among others.

With the equipment, SorSU will be able to offer world class experiences to students and provide them with the best possible education and training in midwifery and nursing.

This moment serves as a glimpse of how much the institution has grown alongside our educators and students.
