Leaders and game changers converged in a spirit of collaboration to foster sustainable development. SUC III President, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and concurrent Chairperson of the Sorsogon Provincial Pili Board presided the meeting on Wednesday, 06 March 2024, which involved discussions on the establishment of Pasalubong Center at Barangay Abuyog, East District, Sorsogon City.
Sorsogon City Mayor, Honorable Ester E. Hamor, SorSU President & SPPB Chairperson, Dr. Geraldine De Jesus, and the members of the Sorsogon Provincial Pili Board unequivocally agreed to put up a Pasalubong Center to benefit enterprises and to promote tourism in the province particularly in the city of Sorsogon.
According to Dr. De Jesus, the souvenir shop will provide vital support to micro, small and medium enterprises in the province. The local traders and producers will be given the opportunity to showcase their products not only to locals but also to tourists. It is also a great way to promote the unique and diverse products of Sorsogon.
The marching order of City Mayor Hamor was to set important things in motion with the submission of the building concept and plans in order to fast-track the establishment of the souvenir shop.
With the creation of Pasalubong Center, a more sustainable future will be realized. (SorSU PIO)
