In a bid to prepare students for the upcoming Skills Development Program Midyear Practicum, Sorsogon State University-Castilla’s Industrial Linkages Development Office (ILDO) organized a virtual Student and Parent Orientation via Zoom last April 30, 2024.
Ms. Lorelyn S. Tagaban, OIC Campus Director, delivered the Welcome Remarks on behalf of SorSU Castilla Campus Director Prof. Andrew F. Detera, expressing delight at the turnout of parents and students. Ms. Tagaban underscored the Practicum’s importance in merging classroom theories with practical agricultural experiences.
During the session, Ms. Melody L. Llabres, Placement/ILDO Coordinator, elucidated various crucial topics including program policies, on-the-job training requirements, medical prerequisites, and collaborating farms and industries. An open forum, moderated by Ms. Michelle Morante, allowed for addressing student and parent queries and concerns.
Mr. Jerome Gigantoca, SorSU Castilla Student Affairs and Services Coordinator, extended gratitude to all stakeholders for their unity and support towards the success of the Online Orientation Session.
