Officials of the Benguet State University Government Employees Association, Inc. conducted benchmarking visit to Sorsogon State University- Bulan Campus on June 4, 2024.
The delegation was led by Dr. Donato Requino Wanawan Jr., President of the Association, aiming to gain insights from the best policies and practices of the University and the Campus for the welfare of its stakeholders, especially the employees.
In their messages during the meeting, Prof. Ma. Elena C. Demdam, SorSU-Bulan Campus Director, and Prof. Mark Anthony D. Dipad, SorSU-BC Faculty Organization President, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed their appreciation to the team for choosing SorSU for the benchmarking visit.
Meanwhile, Dr. Wanawan Jr. relayed their utmost gratutude for the satisfactory reception provided to them by SorSU.
“Kasing-init ng panahon ang pagtanggap po ninyo sa amin. We are very happy and lucky na SorSU ang napili namin dahil napakaganda ng pagtanggap ninyo sa amin,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jopet Vincent Medalla, SorSU-BC Faculty Organization Vice-President, discussed the accomplishments, milestones, and best policies and practices of the campus and the university in terms of prioritizing the welfare of the faculty and staff. He centered on the salient features of the faculty manual, and personnel incentives on research and extension.
This presentation triggered a fruitful discourse between the employees of both universities, discussing possibilities for adoption of the policies and practices of both universities to for the benefit of the employees and students, advancing the services that both universities provide. Benguet State University delegates emphasized the significance of having leaders who have the commitment to improve the lives of their people.
This benchmarking visit to SorSU-Bulan Campus is the first for this year, and the campus is expecting more opportunities for collaboration and further academic exposures. (Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus)
