SorSU-LHS hosts Students’ Orientation & Reorientation Program

The Sorsogon State University – Laboratory High School (SorSU-LHS) held its Students’ Orientation and Reorientation Program on August 22, 2024, at SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus, to familiarize students with university policies, guidelines, and essential services.
The event commenced with addresses from SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs), who delivered inspiring messages emphasizing the importance of academic dedication.

Addressing the students, President De Jesus said, “I am glad that you decided to study here and not elsewhere. I can proudly say that your teachers are among the best in Sorsogon, and even the entire region. Our facilities have already been improved and modernized, and the curriculum has also been streamlined. You should know that our learning institution has continuously served Sorsoguenos through the delivery of quality education for 117 years now, and we will be carrying on this noble tradition for another century and even more – within our province and beyond.”

Following these addresses, Prof. Maria Flora J. Renovalles (Department Chair, LHS), introduced academic figures including the Dean, Program Chairs, and Faculty.

The program proceeded with an overview of the Office of the Students Development and Services, presented by Prof. Maria Crisanta M. Jarque. Subsequently, Prof. Jucelyn B. Ombao provided insights into Student Council Affairs Services. The program also included presentations on other student services.
