Sorsogon State University (SorSU) President Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus together with Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort, Campus Directors of respective SorSU campuses, Prof. Ma. Elena C. Demdam (Bulan Campus), Prof. Andrew F. Detera (Castilla Campus), Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza (Magallanes Campus) and Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Sorsogon City, Campus) attended the Investiture of Dr. Arnel Brosas Millesca, EdD, JD as the 5th President of Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT), today, April 8, 2024, at the DEBESMSCAT Covered Court, Cabitan, Mandaon, Masbate.
Various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) from the Bicol Region and the country were present along with the SorSU attendees. Notably, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner, Dr. Marita R. Canapi, was also in attendance as well as CHED officials, Regional Directors, Local Government officials, and other executives. Furthermore, CHED Chairman, Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, expressed his support via video message.
The investiture ceremony centered on the passage “An Damgo ko para sa mga Masbateno” translated as “My dream for Masbatenos”, which highly encapsulates DEBESMSCAT’s vision, mission, and commitment to sustaining excellent delivery of instruction, research, extension, and production.
