Sorsogon State University (SorSU) SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, alongside Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), and Dr. Alfonso L. Garcia, Jr. (Dean, SorSU – College of Teacher Education and Midwifery), received Certificates of Commendation from the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Sorsogon (8th City Council), recognizing the institution’s remarkable feat for successfully ranking as the Top 3 Best Performing School nationwide during the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) – Elementary Level (with 97.80 % overall performance rating) at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, Cabid-an, East District, Sorsogon City, last March 19, 2024.
