Sorsogon State University (SorSU) attended the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) President’s Summit on March 18, 2024, which was hosted at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) organized the event, which has as its theme “ITSO: Celebrating Collaboration, Cultivating Innovation”, with the goal of honoring ITSO members that have assiduously completed the ITSO 2.0 Clustering deliverables for 2023. Along with the introduction of the Generator of IP (GeneIP) program, updates regarding the execution of the ITSO program were also discussed. These programs aim to enable participating HEIs to generate even more inventive and significant results from their research and development efforts.
The ceremonial signing of the GeneIP Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and ITSO Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for new members had taken place in support of these activities. At the function, Engr. Ivy Rose Gonzales joined as SorSU’s Head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management Unit. Other state universities and colleges (SUCs) presidents and designated ITSO managers also attended said event.
