In preparation for the efficient conduct of the one-day simultaneous SorSU College Admission Test (CAT), Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Admission Services Unit, headed by Dr. Sherill A. Gilbas (Head, SorSU Admission Services Unit), and in collaboration with the Guidance & Counseling Services Unit, organized an initial orientation and training to SorSU CAT proctors and examiners of Sorsogon City Campus on January 16, 2023, at the SorSU Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.
The initial orientation and training equipped the examiners/proctors on their roles and responsibilities as well as the step-by-step procedures on the conduct of SorSU CAT, which were presented and explained by Ms. Mary Ann J. Jintalan (Guidance Counselor, Guidance & Counseling Services Unit) and Mr. Mikko S. Guardian (Guidance Counselor & CoTEdM faculty), respectively.
Moreover, questions and clarifications regarding potential issues/concerns raised by the examiners were addressed by Ms. Camila Monet D. Jaylo (University Psychometrician).Meanwhile, the initial orientation and training for examiners/proctors and admission coordinators of Castilla, Bulan, and Magallanes Campuses will take place on January 17, 2023. Additionally, all examiners/proctors of four campuses will convene to complete their final orientation and training this coming Thursday, January 18, 2024. (SorSU PIO)
