Led by the institution’s student organizations, the celebration began with the joyful distribution of bookmarks to all SorSU faculty members and employees at the University’s entrance, while the program commenced with the 𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 per college/department: Laboratory High School with Department Head, College of Business and Management (CBM), College of Engineering and Architecture (COEA), College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM), and College of Technology (COT) with their respective Deans.
Following the 𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 were the welcome remarks from Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus) and Ms. Maykaela F. Miraples’ opening message, President of the Future Educators Guild (FEG).
Meanwhile, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, shared in her inspirational message that her professional journey began 16 years ago in the institution as a Contract of Service (COS) instructor, emphasizing that at that time, she had never imagined herself to be where she is now — the University President.
