Sorsogon State University – Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (SorSU-DRRMO), led by Prof. Saturnino C. Carranza (Director, SorSU-DRRMO), participated in the Parade of Resources spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Sorsogon as part of the celebration of Kasanggayahan Festival 2023, which began from Sorsogon Sports Complex to Sorsogon Capitol Grounds, held last October 16, 2023.
Together with Prof. Carranza were Prof. Achilles G. Honasan (DRRMO Coordinator, Castilla Campus & SorSU BOR Member), Mr. Francis O. Antonio (Head, Safety and Security), Mr. Arvin B. Pura (President, Non-Teaching Personnel Association), and SorSU DRRMO Officers (SorSU teaching and non-teaching personnel).
Local Government Units (LGUs) of the Province of Sorsogon (14 municipalities & 1 city), Armed Forces of the Philippines, Tactical Operations Group 5 – Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Office of the Civil Defense Region 5, Department of Public Works and Highways – 1st District, Department of Public Works and Highways – 2nd District, Philippine Red Cross – Sorsogon Chapter, and UNTV News and Rescue were also in attendance during the parade.
