Sorsogon State University (SorSU) proudly congratulates its three hundred thirty-seven (337) new Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) who successfully passed the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) conducted last September 24, 2023.
The overall performance rating of SorSU – Sorsogon City Campus for the elementary level is 97.80%, ranking as Top 3 Best Performing School nationwide, with first-time takers garnering a passing percentage of 98.82%. Meanwhile, the secondary level successfully attained 74.88% and a passing percentage of 85.52% for first-time takers.
Further, SorSU – Magallanes Campus obtained a passing percentage of 76.92% for the elementary level, while its secondary level gained 66.67%. Its first-time takers acquired 86.36% and 80.00% for elementary and secondary levels, respectively.
Moreover, under the secondary level, SorSU – Bulan Campus achieved a performance rating of 54.10%, with a passing percentage of 60.87% for first-time takers. SorSU – Castilla Campus earned an overall passing percentage of 52.63% and 57.78% first-time takers (for secondary teachers).
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 23,782 out of 50,593 elementary teachers and 53,995 out of 95,969 secondary teachers successfully passed the licensure examination. SorSU – Sorsogon City and Magallanes Campuses notably exceeded both the national passing percentage of 47.01% for the elementary level and 56.26% for the secondary level.
