SorSU-HRMDO Conducts University-wide Onboarding Session

To orient and provide a better understanding of the University’s policies and procedures, Sorsogon State University – Human Resource Management and Development Office (SorSU – HRMDO) held a university-wide onboarding session for its Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) employees on March 30, 2023, at the SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.

This is the affirmation of SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, as she delivered an inspirational message to the JO and COS (non-teaching and teaching personnel, respectively) attendees, where she expressed that the orientation intends to discuss the University’s aspirations, policies, main principles as well as the operational procedures.

Meanwhile, to instill in-depth understanding and appreciation of the VMGO of the University, Prof. Ma. Crisanta Mella-Jarque (Office of the Student Development and Services – Director) provided an explicit talk session on the vision, mission, and core values of SorSU.

On the other hand, Prof. Abner L. Dellosa, RGC (HRMDO – Head), discussed and explained the policies and procedures on attendance, performance evaluation, accomplishment report, and norms of conduct of public officials and employees.  Prof. Dellosa’s discussion was followed by an open forum, where the JO and COS employees posed their queries, clarifications, and concerns.

In addition, a representative from Social Security System (SSS) also held a talk session on insurance opportunities and security for JO and COS employees of SorSU. Knowledge about the preparation and filing of forms as well as the different types of benefits and loans provided by the financial institution was also discussed.

A total of 109 JO and COS employees (Sorsogon City Campus – 87; Bulan -15; and Magallanes Campus – 7) participated in the event of HRMDO. (SorSU PIO)
