WEBINAR: Alternative feeding and health management of Improved/Native Chicken and Organic Fertilizer Utilization

Sorsogon State University Castilla Campus Extension and Training Services Office offers this free webinar about the alternative feeding and health management of Improved/Native Chicken and Organic Fertilizer Utilization on November 11, 2023, via Zoom Conference.

Serving as the speakers are esteemed faculty members, namely Dr. Rose Anne Cleotilde I. Sambo and Mr. Brian Gabriel Buenaobra. Dr. Sambo will discuss “Webinar on Alternative Feeding and Health Management of Improved/Native Chicken,” and “Webinar on Lupa ay Mataba, Para Ani Sagana (LAMPAS): Organic Fertilizer Utilization” will be presented by Mr. Buenaobra.

By the end of the webinar, the participants are expected to identify alternative feedstuffs that are locally available in their community and gain additional knowledge on alternative feeding and health management of improved native chicken.

The event is highly relevant to the target participants since the Sorsogon State University Castilla Campus has established a Native Multiplier Breeder Farm in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture under the National Livestock Program. This project aims to produce good quality breeder stocks and provide technical assistance in the community in order for the project to flourish and ensure its sustainability. The farm will also be made available as a site of training and learning facility for students, farmers, women, and interested individuals. Thus, the webinar is initiated to cater to a greater audience interested in native chicken production. The webinar will focus on the two major areas of native chicken production, which are feeding management and health management.
