On June 4, 2024, Dr. Georgia Hart-Fredeluces, an esteemed International Visiting Professor from Idaho State University in the United States of America, visited the Castilla Campus together with Prof. Teresa Haide R. Belgica, a SorSU faculty-researcher.
Dr. Hart-Fredeluces delivered a short talk on ethnobotany, showcasing her remarkable research in the field. This was participated by campus officials and faculty members. Her insights are set to contribute, strengthen, and reinforce the ongoing research projects at SorSU. The discussion also opened up the possibility of future research collaborations, a joint effort that would involve Dr. Hart-Fredeluces, Idaho State University, and SorSU Castilla Campus.
The event featured an open forum where valuable insights and queries were exchanged. This was followed by a virtual campus tour and the ceremonial planting of pili seedlings.
