With great pride, the Sorsogon State University (SorSU) warmly congratulates Ms. Pauline G. Fresto and Ms. Cristine Mae D. Dealca for being conferred and awarded by the prestigious Singapore Institute of Engineering Technologists (SIET)) the BEST STUDENT AWARD for Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical) and Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical), respectively.
The international awards were respectively presented to Class of 2024 graduates Ms. Fresto and Ms. Dealca during the University’s 31st Commencement Exercises last June 27, 2024, at the Sorsogon Convention Center, Sorsogon City. The two awardees also received a worth of SGD 500 cash gift.
In reference, SorSU, since 2022, has an ongoing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SIET relative to the former’s engineering and technology curricular programs. Notably, it is highlighted in the partnership that SIET shall recognize SorSU students who earned academic distinctions and exhibited excellent mastery in the areas of engineering and technology, where a selection committee is created and organized for the purpose of selecting the best and well-deserved students of the award (Best Student Award); with one shall be chosen from BITE/BIT/BT, and the other from BSE/BIT. Moreover, the students were assessed based on their academic performance, leadership, and achievements.
Once again, congratulations to Ms. Fresto and Ms. Dealca on their outstanding academic achievements!
