Cong. Marie Bernadette “Dette” Escudero spearheads inauguration of SorSU Magallanes Campus Integrated Building

On August 9, 2024, Sorsogon State University-Magallanes Campus celebrated the blessing and inauguration of its new Integrated Building. The event began with a ceremonial blessing of the building, followed by the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza, MSc (Campus Director, SorCU-Magallanes Campus) started the proceedings with opening remarks. This was followed by a message from SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, who highlighted the significance of the new building for the university’s growth and development.


Hon. Maria Elena Ramona M. Ragragio (Mayor, Municipality of Magallanes) then addressed the attendees, highlighting the synergistic relationship between the university and local government. Hon. Marie Bernadette G. Escudero (Representative, 1st District, Province of Sorsogon), also delivered a message, underscoring her commitment to educational advancement.


The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic turnover of the ceremonial key, signifying the official transfer of the building to the university. To conclude the occasion, Dr. Mae H. San Pablo (Faculty President, SorSU-Magallanes Campus) gave the closing remarks.
