The three-day Level III Phase II AACCUP Online Accreditation on Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor Public Administration (BPA) Programs, led by Sorsogon State University – Office of the Quality Assurance and SorSU Accreditation Task Force-Bulan Campus alongside various working committees, officially culminated today, August 7, 2024, through a hybrid closing ceremony, held at the Audio-Visual Room, SorSU-Bulan Campus for in-person as well as online via Zoom Meeting.
Dr. Ronnie R. Parica (AACCUP, Inc. Coordinator/Lead Accreditor), in his Program and Overall Impressions, noted that the SorSU community is fortunate to be equipped with committed and devoted faculty and staff who strive for quality and excellence to attain the university’s vision and mission despite the challenges of using a new platform.
“We would like to commend the high energy level of everybody for all-out cooperation in providing information and sending necessary documents the team requested. It is excellent and the very responsive attitude is deeply felt even across the gadget wires. Generally, we can say that you have prepared well for this visit.”
In response, Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs), in his Acceptance and Pledge of Commitment, conveyed the academe’s profound gratitude and highest commendation to Dr. Parica and the AACCUP, Inc. Team for extending their invaluable service and expertise in assessing the two programs.
“As a concluding note, I wish to express our strong commitment to implement the recommendations of the survey team to enhance specific areas of the university’s Computer Science and Public Administration Programs.”
Following an intermission number called Pantomina de Sorsogon by the Kasanggayahan Dance Company via AVP was the virtual presentation of certificates of recognition for the esteemed panel of AACCUP accreditors.
The event concluded with a closing message from Engr. Rey C. Rodrigueza (Dean, College of Information & Communications Technology), where the Dean expressed his appreciation to the AACCUP team for their insightful comments and suggestions.
Dean Rodrigueza underscored, “We welcome their initial recommendations on how to improve more our programs under evaluation and we will work hard to comply [with] their complete requirements in order to fully attain the educational objectives of our program.” (SorSU PIO)
