Sorsogon State University-Castilla Campus held the Supreme Student Council Election 2024 after the campaign of the competent and aspiring students who met and passed the qualifications required for the respective positions for the next student leaders in this academic year.
After the transparent counting process headed by the SORSU-CC Commission on Elections, finally, the awaited results of the elected council representatives were disclosed.
From the overall votes of the six courses (BSA AgEd, BSA AS, BSA CS, BAT, BSAB, and BSABE), Alfred Gabelo was elected as the new Supreme Student Council President with a total of 469 votes, John Philip Grajo as the new Vice President with a total vote of 405, Claire Duazo for the position of Secretary with a total vote of 443, Edison Fresto as the new elected Treasurer with a total vote of 386, Michaella Siscar as the new Auditor with a total vote of 377, Zedrick Escobero as the new elected P.R.O. with a total vote of 382, Cesar Villafuerte with a total vote of 359, and Rachel Ann Balquinn with a total vote of 328 as the newly elected Business Managers. As for the elected representatives per grade level,Symon Rey was elected for the position of 1st year representative with a total vote of 361, Jonalyn Llames as the 2nd year representative with a total vote of 270, Annielyn Candia as the 3rd year representative with a total vote of 245, and for the position of 4th year representative, Domingo Sumpay was elected with a total vote of 285.
Through this, the newly elected council representatives will soon bloom to convene and implement their platforms and advocacies for the betterment of the students and the campus.
