To bring forth new knowledge on state-of-the-art development and innovations along industrial technology toward SorSU’s academic advancement and global recognition and linkages, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, joined the Hannover Messe Worldwide 2023, a five-day world’s leading industrial trade fair, held at Hannover Fairground, Hannover City, Germany from April 17 – 21, 2023.
With the theme focused on “𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 – 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦,” the premier international trade fair featured 4,000 exhibitors who showcased groundbreaking innovations and solutions centered on industrial development for a digital, connected, sustainable industry to 130,000 visitors across the globe representing various business and government entities, with 43% coming from abroad, according to Dr. Jochen Köckler (Chairman of the Deutsche Messe Managing Board), cited by Hannover Messe website (n.d.).
The four thousand (4,000) exhibitors encompassed different display sectors on 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 & 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴, 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 & 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘏𝘶𝘣, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘪𝘳 & 𝘝𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘶𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 & 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴. Furthermore, President De Jesus, during her international travel, also engaged in benchmarking activities at the two leading research universities in Germany, namely: Technical University in Braunschweig (𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵ä𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨), the oldest Technical University in Germany, and the University of Stuttgart, where she had opportunities to visit several highly-technological facilities, and observe demonstrations on innovative resources, advanced equipment and tools, and other academic sites.
