The Sorsogon State University (SorSU) Administrative Council (ADCO) convenes for its 1st quarter regular meeting this February 15, 2023, at the Castilla campus. Administrative concerns and issues are raised and addressed to ensure that the university continuously improves its policies, systems, and procedures. Likewise, income-generating projects for the university were also proposed and discussed.
During the meeting, SorSU President, Dr. Giggy F. De Jesus, presented her President’s update and accomplishments. Dr. Ryan Dio (VP for Research, Extension and Trainings) also updated the council on the South East Asian Multidisciplinary Research Expo and Extension Conference (SEAMREEC) 2023, the first international conference in Sorsogon City organized by the university and spearheaded by the VPRET office.
The ADCO meeting was also attended by Mr. Gerald E. Fulay and Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort, VP for Administration and Finance and VP for Academic Affairs, respectively, together with the staff directors, campus directors and unit heads as well as top officials of the student, faculty and non-teaching personnel associations. The council greatly appreciates Castilla Campus headed by Prof. Andrew F. Detera, Campus Director, for sponsoring the venue for said event. (SorSU PIO)
