Requirements

A. Checklist items one must secure upon arrival in the Philippines:
– Medical Certificate
– Six (6) pieces of recent 2×2 ID Photos
– Original Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from Admission Office
– One (1) copy of Notarized General Parents’ Consent signed by parents or legal guardians (undergraduates only)

– Good Moral Certificate
– Authenticated (Red Ribbon)/Apostille: Birth Certificate


B. Transferees from Philippine Schools
– Original Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from IRO-Admission Office
– Original Transcript of Records for Evaluation
– Original Honorable Dismissal
– Good Moral Certificate
– Authenticated (Red Ribbon)/Apostille: Birth Certificate
– Notarized Certificate of Finance or Bank Manager’s Certificate of Deposit, at least $1,500.00 or its equivalent in Philippine currency
– NBI Clearance
– Valid Passport, Visa and I-Card (if any)
– Medical Certificate
– Six (6) pieces recent 2x 2 ID Photos
– One (1) copy of Notarized General Parents’ Consent signed by parents or legal guardians (undergraduates only)


C. Senior High School Graduates from Philippine Schools
– Original Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from the Admission Services Unit
– Original Senior High School Report Card or School Form (SF9)
– Good Moral Certificate
– Authenticated (Red Ribbon)/Apostille: Birth Certificate
– Notarized Certificate of Finance or Bank Manager’s Certificate of Deposit, at least $1,500.00 or its equivalent in Philippine currency
– NBI Clearance
– Valid Passport, Visa, and I-Card (if any)
– Medical Certificate
– Six (6) pieces of recent 2×2 ID Photos

General Procedures

1. Admission Application and Examination: International student applicant accomplishes the application form through the Online Pre-Admission System (https://admission.sorsu.edu.ph/), and takes the online admission exam.
2. Submission of Requirements: Applicant shall submit the initial requirements to the Admission Services Unit through the OPAS (
https://admission.sorsu.edu.ph/).
– Report Card
– Valid Passport (Bio page only)

3. Assessment: The Admission Services Unit assesses the applicant and releases the Notice of Acceptance or Non-Acceptance.
4. Registration at the Office of the Registrar: Accepted student proceeds to the Registrar to submit the other requirements required by the Bureau of Immigration (BI). For details, please refer to:

– Requirements for Senior High School graduates from Philippines Schools.

5. Payment of Fees: Enrolled students pay fees at the Cashier’s Office.
6. Submission of Student Report to BI: The international student directly communicates with SorSU-BI Authorized School Representative for the Bureau of Immigration-related Visa processing: Student Visa Conversion/Extension and Special Study Permit (SSO) Application. The processing must be completed within fifteen (15) days from the date of issuance of the Notice of Acceptance.
7. Release of Permit: SorSU releases Permit from the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
8. Submission of Annual Report: The SorSU-BI Authorized School Representative submits the annual report to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
