Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus proudly announces the success of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) in the AACCUP Level III Phase 2 Accreditation, following the accreditation assessment conducted last October 20–22, 2025.
This achievement is a major milestone not only for the BSIT program but for the entire campus, as it affirms the program’s compliance with national standards in instruction, research, extension, faculty development, student services, and overall academic governance.
This marks the first AACCUP-accredited program under the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and the second program in SorSU – Bulan Campus to successfully reach this level of recognition. This comes after the notable success of the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) program, which likewise achieved accreditation recognition in 2025.
This milestone was made possible through the collective efforts, unity, and dedication of the SorSU-Bulan workforce and stakeholders. It was fueled by the strong support of the campus administration led by Dr. Ma. Elena C. Demdam, Campus Director, the leadership of Dr. Rey C. Rodrigueza, then Dean of the College of ICT, and Prof. Mark Anthony D. Dipad, the Quality Assurance Coordinator. It was further strengthened by the commitment and guidance of Prof. Ruel Grafia, then BSIT Program Chair and now Acting CICT Dean, together with the BSIT faculty members and the accreditation task force who meticulously prepared for the rigorous evaluation process.
With this new accreditation success, SorSU – Bulan Campus continues to advance its vision of becoming a higher education institution recognized for academic quality, responsiveness, and relevance.
