CNSC Faculty Association benchmarks SorSU’s HR management program

On July 31, 2024, the Sorsogon State University hosted a benchmarking activity at the SorSU Dormtel Conference Room, Sorsogon City. The event which centered on Human Resource Management, was attended by a delegation from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) Federation of Faculty Association Inc., headed by Mr. Rene N. Abrera.

The delegation was formally received by Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (SorSU-Vice President for Academic Affairs), who extended a cordial welcome to the team. The event commenced with welcome remarks from Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus). His message underscored the importance of benchmarking activity and collaborative engagements in strengthening human resource practices.
Following Dr. Escoto’s remarks, Mr. Rene N. Abrera (CNSC Faculty President), delivered a message expressing hope that the event would provide insights into cultivating efficient human resource management competencies. The event proceeded with an open forum, during which Prof. Abner L. Dellosa (Head, HRMDO), shared the university’s best practices and strategies for effective human resource operations. He also stressed the importance of maintaining open communication and fostering strong relationships between HR personnel and the University President.


The benchmarking activity concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Perry F. Carpio (President, Faculty Association). In his message, he said “This event is not a one-time journey, but a continuous improvement striving towards the betterment not only of our institutions but as well as our clientele – the finality of public service. Together, let us embrace the findings and the contributions that we gain in this learning activity with a commitment to enhance our practices and achieve our strategic goals.”


The benchmarking activity facilitated a productive exchange of ideas, aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency within the institutions. The combined knowledge and expertise of the participants contributed to the success of this engagement. (SorSU PIO)
