The Sangguniang Bayan of Bulan approves for implementation the barangay ordinance proposed by third-year Bachelor of Public Administration students, namely, Juisha Infantado, Maricar Guan, Michaela Vargas and Ruffa Mae Gipa, to the Sangguniang Barangay of Zone 2 which earlier passed it after careful review and deliberation.

The ordinance entitled “An Ordinance Institutionalizing the House Rules for All the Barangay Personnel of Zone 2, Bulan, Sorsogon, to Ensure Enhanced Performance, Providing Rewards and Disciplinary Actions Thereof” is a product of their research in the course Public Personnel Management handled by Mr. Rytzz M. Obsum.

The ordinance primarily aims to improve the services of the barangay personnel to the public by ensuring better performance, accountability, and adherence to code of conduct as outlined in the Local Government Code and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and Employees.

This project is aligned with SorSU’s efforts in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG No. 16 which aims to build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
