The celebration of arts and culture continues on February 2 at Sorsogon State University (SorSU)-Sorsogon City Campus Social Hall and Audio Visual Hall, simultaneously.

Tabsing Kolektib of Bulan, Sorsogon staged a one-act play unveiling fraternity-related violence entitled “Nihil Timendum Est,” followed by Special Program in the Arts (SPA) students of University of Santo Tomas (UST)-Legazpi who performed a neo-ethnic musical play entitled “Madre Tierra,” revealing the struggles of nature due to unruly human activities.

Moreover, Tabaco National High School SPA students showed an original play, “Oragon, Sarung Musikal,” showcasing the stories of Bicolano heroes and the real definition of being an “oragon”.

Concurrently, the Himig Sorsuenos captivated the audience at SorSU AV Hall with performances of “Da Coconut Nut” by Ryan Cayabyab, “Liwanag sa Dilim” by Rico Blanco, “Imagine” by John Lennon, and “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Oscar Hammerstein led by Edwin Balgemino (Choirmaster and Artistic Director).

Furthermore, the Pilar National Comprehensive High School chordophone ensemble also performed followed by the UST-Legazpi Chorale with their Himig Himbing Indigenous Lullabies live performance. The event concluded with a masterpiece by the Yellow Woods Children’s Choir.
