Representatives from the Malinao Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, under the Department of Health, paid a courtesy visit to SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, on February 13, 2026, at the Office of the University President. The visit was to formally request approval to hold the “Defend Your Future, Achieve Greatness, Drug Symposium” at Sorsogon State University, Sorsogon City Campus.
During the courtesy visit, Fulbert Alec R. Gillego, RMT, MD, MSPH (Chief of Hospital III-DOH MTRC), along with Neolan Anonuevo, RN, MaEd (Health Program Officer II), and Kathrine Claire F. Rojas, RPm (CMHT, Health Program Officer I), outlined the activity’s objectives and emphasized its alignment with national drug prevention strategies.
Also present at the meeting was Atty. Reychelle Valino (Executive Assistant). The visit reflects the ongoing collaboration between the university and government agencies to advance student welfare and strengthen campus-based initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and drug-free academic environment.
