In recognition of its outstanding performance and commitment to excellence, Sorsogon State University (SorSU), headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, has been awarded by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Sorsogon as a top performing agency for achieving 100% collection efficiency on premiums and loans, along with the highest reduction in unpaid premiums for the period of January to December 2024 during the Annual AAOs and ERF Handlers Re-Training on June 8, 2025, at The Cloverleaf Place, Cabid-an, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon.
During the awarding, SorSU key personnel were also recognized for their invaluable efforts and significant contributions as GSIS representatives of the university, including Principal Agency Authorized Officer (AAO) Ms. Maricar D. Doctor (AO V), Alternate AAO Dr. Ma. Sylisa J. Estur (Chief Administrative Officer-Administrative Services), Electronic Remittance File (ERF) Handlers Ms. Melody J. Bontigao (AO III) and Ms. Eva B. Endaya (AO III).
