To align with their professional development goals, Prof. Nestor D. Ebuenga, Jr. and Dr. Rose Anne Cleotilde I. Sambo from the College of Agriculture of Sorsogon State University-Castilla Campus attended the Advanced Short Course on Sustainable Dairy Production System for Selected Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines, held from December 1 to 15, 2024, at Massey University-Manawatu Campus, Palmerston North, New Zealand.

This opportunity was made possible through the leadership of SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and the support of the CHED-HUSAY (Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty) grant.

The course aimed to improve dairy production expertise in the Philippines by using a comparative learning approach, focusing on how different environmental, nutritional, and management systems impact dairy production. The program covered key areas relevant to advancing the dairy industry.

The Pamantasang May Puso continues to prioritize global collaboration in improving its academic offerings. By engaging with leading international institutions, the university aims to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, particularly in dairy production. (SorSU PIO)
