With the aim to champion the cause of Filipino children focusing on mental well-being, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with Sorsogon State University (SorSU), Argao Psych, and Good Neighbors International Philippines, through its Bantay Bata 163 along Project MIND (Mental Health Intervention for Children in Need/Affected by Disasters), successfully spearheaded its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Training to SorSU – College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM) students, last September 13, 2023, at SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.
Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), in his message, emphasized that students participating in the said training imply a significant step towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and building a more empathetic society.

Notably, the 65 SorSU-CoTEd volunteer-participants, headed by Dr. Alfonso L. Garcia, Jr. (Dean, CoTEdM) alongside SorSU-CoTEdM professors/instructors, visited Prieto Diaz National High School and Manlabong National High School on September 14, 2023. With the assistance and expertise of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. Team, the volunteer-participants successfully provided psychological first aid to children at risk and their respective parents as a practical application of what they had learned and undergone during their Mental Health and Psychological Support Services (MHPSS) Training and Provision, with Dr. Renz Christian Argao, alongside his team from Argao Psych and the Bantay Bata 163 personnel. Prof. Jackielyne M. Bosquillos (Program Chair, BEED/BSNEd) was one of the focal persons in this collaborative advocacy among Bantay Bata 163’s Project MIND, Argao Psych, Good Neighbors International Philippines, and SorSU-College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM).
