Sorsogon State University joined the first quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill and Fire Drill on March 16, 2023. This activity aimed to assess the institution’s awareness, readiness, coordination, and communication mechanism during evacuation procedures and response. The fire drill was also conducted in observance of Fire Prevention Month and promoted the importance of fire safety.
The activity was supported by the SorSU Disaster Risk Reduction Management and Climate Change Office (SorSU DRRM & CC), City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), with local DRRM Office of Local Government Units where the campuses are located, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
