The Sorsogon State University – Graduate School held its 30th Commencement Exercises for its graduates with the theme, “2023 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨: 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨” on June 8, 2023, at the Sorsogon Cultural Center for the Arts, Sorsogon City.
The esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Albert N. Naperi, SUC President IV of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, in his commencement speech, reminded the graduates that:
“It is essential to measure oneself [with your own skills and capabilities] rather than against others”, and that amidst life’s challenges, we “must persist, not resist, look forward, not look back”, and continue to move forward towards our life goals.
The event was attended and celebrated by the SorSU family led by Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, SUC President III, SorSU top executives and faculty of the Graduate School, and graduates from various postgraduate programs namely, Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management, Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Filipino, MA in Education major in English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science Education, MA in Teaching major in Technology and Home Economics, MA in Teaching major in Technology Education with specialization in Food Service Management, MA in Teaching major in Technology Education with specialization in Electrical Technology, Master in Education major in Educational Management, MA in Management major in Administration and Supervision, and MA in Management major in Public Administration.
