In accordance with CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) Nos. 80 and 82, s. 2017 respectively, the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Education – Region V Office (CHED ROV), led by Dr. Rose Marie A. Arao (Education Program Supervisor II of Teacher Education Program and RQAT Chairman) and Prof. Lyndon L. Bailon (RQAT Member), conducted an evaluation on the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) and Bachelor of Culture and Arts (BCAED) programs offered under the College of Teacher Education (CoTEd) of Sorsogon State University (SorSU), last March 7-8, 2023.
Headed by Dr. Alfonso L. Garcia (Dean of CoTEd); and assisted by Ms. Susan Mae G. Apostol (CoTEd ISO Focal Person), Prof. Anabell A. Manga (Program Chairman, BSED/BTVTEd), Prof. Jackielyne M. Bosquillos (Program Chairman, BEED/BSNEd), Ms. Erlinda P. Enguerra (University Librarian), Ms. Laura P. Brioso (SorSU Sorsogon City Librarian), and BPED/BCAED Faculty members: Prof. Nicolas B. Barrameda, Mr. Jordan M. Pocaan, and Ms. Lizel D. Lerios, the College was assessed to be fully compliant with the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines of the CMO Nos. 80 (for BPED) and 82 (for BCAED), s. 2017, and was recommended with the issuance of Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) for the two respective programs.
The CHED RQAT evaluated the following seven (7) areas of the College: (1) Dean, (2) Curriculum, (3) Faculty, (4) Library, (5) Facilities and Equipment, (6) Laboratory Schools/Cooperating Schools, and (7) Admission and Retention Policies (Enrollment Trends).
SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus; SorSU-Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort; and Campus Director-Sorsogon City Campus, Dr. Telesforo D.
