Overview
The Sorsogon State University is deeply committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 12, which focuses on ensuring sustainable consumption and production. As part of this commitment, the university has integrated sustainability into its operations, adopting eco-friendly practices and leading green initiatives that aim to reduce environmental impact.
We have implemented waste-reduction strategies across all campus activities, focusing on minimizing waste generation through responsible consumption and encouraging recycling and reusing.
Beyond waste management, we continuously educate and engage the entire campus community on the importance of sustainable living. We also integrate sustainable agriculture practices into both academic programs and campus operations. By emphasizing local, organic, and resource-efficient food production methods, we aim to reduce the ecological footprint of our food system while promoting healthy, nutritious options for our community.
Through the combination of practical approaches to waste reduction and sustainable agriculture, the university cultivates a culture of sustainable consumption and production.
