In another pivotal step toward strengthening its international presence, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) formalized a partnership with Ankara University of Turkey through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 17, 2025 in Ankara, Turkey.
The agreement was signed by SUC President III Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus on behalf of SorSU, alongside Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Unuvar, representing Ankara University, marking a strategic alliance aimed at advancing academic and cultural collaboration between the two institutions.
Under the MOU, both universities committed to a range of initiatives including the exchange of faculty for academic activities such as research, lectures, and scholarly gatherings; student mobility in comparable disciplines; collaborative scientific research projects; and the sharing of academic resources such as books, journals, and other instructional materials.
This partnership is a significant step in SorSU’s internationalization agenda, aimed at fostering cross-border academic cooperation and addressing global scientific challenges through shared expertise and innovation. (SorSU PIO)
