Sorsogon State University (SorSU) officially opened its 118th Founding Anniversary celebration with a university-wide parade on May 27, 2025. The activity was led by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and participated in by key officials, faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and students.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Weaving the Future of the Pamantasang May Puso: 118 Years of Excellence and Innovation,” which highlights the university’s journey of academic growth, transformative leadership, and forward-thinking initiatives.

Officially commencing with a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jershom J. Colico, the four-day celebration comprises a series of activities, including Students’ Day, Gabi ng Parangal, Employees’ Day, SorSU Team Building 2025, SorSU Fun Walk/Run, and other engaging events.
