Sorsogon State University Magallanes Campus Conducts Culminating Activity for National Service Training Program

On June 14, 2024, a total of 410 students from BS Fisheries, BSED Sciences, BEED, and BS Entrepreneurship of this campus celebrates the National Training Program Civic Welfare Training Service and Literacy Training Service (NSTP-CWTS LTS) culminating rites at the college auditorium.

The program was anchored on its theme “Rising Strong, Embracing Resilience, Empowering Change, and Encourage the students to Continue Volunteerism and Resilience as Forces for Social Good”. The program was headed by Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza, Campus Director, in her message urged the students to be a catalyst of change in the spirit of volunteerism and become pliable in responding to challenges.


Similarly, the guest speaker Hon. Ernesto L. Burton, an active Sanguniang Kabataan in his early years and Board of Trustees Member of then, Sorsogon State College and a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education of this campus. He also encouraged the graduates their countless ability to engage in various remarkable activities within the school and the community.

Other highlights of the activity was the presentation and distribution of the certificates to top performing students and the graduates by Prof. Jerick G. Esguerra and Prof. Michael H. Galapon, NSTP Coordinator. The program was concluded with a lively graduation song of triumphs, hope and affirmations.
