Presided by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, alongside the three Vice Presidents namely, Mr. Gerald E. Fulay, JD (VPAF), Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (VPAA), and Dr. Ryan V. Dio (VPRET), Sorsogon State University Administrative Council (ADCO) held its 2nd Quarter Regular Meeting on July 12, 2024, at the SorSU Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.
During the meeting, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, delivered a brief overview of the President’s Update/Report, outlining the notable current undertakings of the University. This was subsequently followed by the 2nd Quarter Accomplishment presentations of respective offices/units.
Moreover, with the purpose to provide avenue for all council members to review proposals and discuss matters of mutual concern, the 2nd Quarter ADCO Meeting agenda included the following: Proposed Provision on the Grant of Reward through Cash Incentives to Topnotchers in Licensure Examination, Proposed Capital Outlay of Sorsogon State University for submission to NEDA and inclusion in the Regional Development Investment Program, Request for funding for hosting the Southeast Asian Multidisciplinary Research Expo and Extension Conference (SEAMREEC 2025) on June 24-27, 2024 for fiscal matters; Proposed various Policies of Sorsogon State University for publication on its official website as a requirement for the application for Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Stars Rating, Request for abolition and creation of the vacant and tagged as CTI Positions under General Administrative Support Services to Guidance Specialist II, Guidance Coordinators III and II, Appointment of five (5) additional Casual Employees, Application of Mr. Jerome B. Gigantoca for three-year study leave for administrative matters; Permanent appointments of Non-Teaching Personnel below SG-18 & MOAs entered into by SorSU with partner agencies, LGUs and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) along with matters of confirmation; and Social Media Policy for SorSU as other matters.
