SorSU and SEAMEO RECSAM Explore Collaborative Initiatives to Advance Academic and Professional Development

Sorsogon State University (SorSU) and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics (SEAMEO RECSAM) convened on June 25, 2025, at the SorSU Board Room, Sorsogon City Campus, to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing academic collaboration and professional development between the two institutions.

Among the key areas highlighted during the meeting were the suggested submission of scholarly articles to SEAMEO RECSAM’s journal publication and the participation of SorSU faculty members in various SEAMEO RECSAM-organized activities.


These initiatives were designed to strengthen research visibility and enhance the professional competencies of educators. Both parties underscored their shared commitment to advancing educational excellence and regional integration through collaborative efforts.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Jeyaletchumi Muthiah (Math Education Specialist, SEAMEO RECSAM) and Dr. Warabhorn Preechaporn (Math Program Specialist, SEAMEO RECSAM).
