SorSU Bulan Campus secures five extension projects with province-wide agencies through ceremonial MOA signing

Sorsogon State University – Bulan Campus (SorSU-BC) bears witness to the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Extension Stakeholders this November 7, 2023 at the Campus Social Hall.

SorSU-BC’s stakeholders in attendance for this event include the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Sorsogon City Office, Saint Louise de Marillac School of Bulan, Inc. (SLMSB), San Francisco National High School, ACLC College of Sorsogon, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Matnog.

The ceremony entailed the signing of the MOA concerning five (5) extension projects by SorSU-BC, which are planned for in partnership with five (5) partner agencies.

The extension projects are as follows:

Project CAPTIVATE

Leader: Mr. Jonel B. Prado

Partner agency: ACLC College of Sorsogon

Project DRIVEN

Leader: Mr. Jason Paul Glina

Partner agency: San Francisco National High School

Project GROW

Leader: Dr. Michael Bongalonta

Partner agency: Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Sorsogon City

Project Tech Pro

Leader: Mr. Jay Rivera

Partner agency: Local Government Unit (LGU) of Matnog, Sorsogon

Project Tech Revive

Leader: Mr. Christian Paulo B. De Vera

Partner agency: Saint Louise de Marillac School of Bulan, Inc.

Representatives of the attending partner agencies took part in the signing along with Dr. Geraldine Fulay-de Jesus, President of SorSU, and Prof. Ma. Elena C. Demdam, Campus Director of SorSU-BC.

Dr. Geraldine Fulay-de Jesus, President of Sorsogon State University, gave her speech to the project leaders and partner agencies present at the MOA signing ceremony.

“We assure you that this is a commitment – a commitment that we will serve you, hangga’t kaya ng ‘pamantasang may puso,'” stated Dr. De Jesus, referencing the signing event.

Professor Ma. Elena C. Demdam thanked the attending partner agencies for choosing SorSU-BC as their partner for the five extension projects, calling the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, “(This is) a testament that in SorSU, we are committed in fulfilling our mission… to provide advanced higher professional, technical and special instruction, as well as undertake innovative researches and collaborative extensions, and income-generating programs for the sustainable development of Sorsogon and beyond.”
