SorSU Castilla Campus Pays Tribute to Teachers and Staff on Teachers’ Day

The Sorsogon State University – Castilla Campus marked World Teachers’ Day on October 3, 2025, with a tribute program held at the Audio-Visual Hall, Farmers Training Center, to honor the dedication and service of its faculty and staff. Centered on the theme: “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability,” the celebration underscored the vital role of teachers and staff in shaping lives and communities.

The one-day event showcased a series of intermission performances and interactive activities organized by various student organizations. The Sports Club, PAC, and ALAAB commenced the program with dynamic presentations, followed by engaging activities facilitated by FLAME.

Cultural and musical performances from the NSRC and Peer Facilitators sustained the program’s energy, while Phytoscience, together with the NSTP Kaagapay and newly hired faculty members, spearheaded additional games and intermissions that encouraged active participation within the campus community.

The highlight of the celebration was a special tribute segment, where all student organizations collectively conveyed their appreciation to both teaching and non-teaching personnel through messages of gratitude and tokens of recognition.

In his message, Prof. Andrew F. Detera, Campus Director of SorSU Castilla Campus, thanked the faculty and staff for their commitment to education. He emphasized that teaching goes beyond knowledge transfer, noting that educators shape character, nurture dreams, and build a better future for students and society.

The program concluded with an expression of collective appreciation for SorSU Castilla Campus faculty and staff, whose dedication continues to inspire excellence and resilience within the academic community.

Happy Teachers’ Day to all the heroes inside the classroom and beyond, whose dedication continues to inspire, empower, and touch lives.
